batch changes

I have folders containing varying numbers of photos or varying sizes. I need to make thumbnails of all photos: all to have a of height 150 pixels, widths will vary, GIMP to scale width to the height. This is time consuming to do one at time. How can GIMP do this in batches? Thank you for you time and assistance. Claudia

In general Imagemagick or even if you prefer a graphical interface Xnview (www.xnview.com) seems more adapt for batch

Anyway in this case a Gimp plugin called DBP (David Batch Processor) should solve
