Gimp 2.6 Features

Hi,

IIRC, in one or more earlier posts to this list, the Gimp people said that 2.6 would have enhanced color support (CYMK, etc???) and non-destructive layer work functionality, etc. Has this been implemented in 2.6? I downloaded the latest version of Gimp for Windows on an office machine and was surprised to see that it was 2.6. So, that's why I am anxious to know about these much-asked-for features.

Thank you,

-Asif

Hi, you can read about the new features in GIMP 2.6 compared to GIMP 2.4 here:
http://gimp.org/release-notes/gimp-2.6.html

There were no significant improvements for CMYK and non-destructive layer tweaking in 2.6.
