adjust shados/highlights

Could someone please advise me if there is the GIMP equivalent of this Photoshop instruction:- Image -> Adjustments -> Shadow/Highlights.

Don't know Photoshop, but I'd use the "Levels" or "Curves" tools to adjust the brightness of shadows and highlights.
