Proofing design for fax quality

Hi,

I am trying to optimize a design for optimal faxability without going all the way to b/w, since this document will only occacionally be faxed.

I was told with PS one can work with "Threshold adjustment layer" to get a good impression.

How would I go about to get a similar result with Gimp?

Kind regards,

Frank S.

The 'gamma adjustment' display filter in View->Display filters might do what you want, with very high or low gamma values. (busy -- haven't checked this.)
