gimp launch pt2 redux

gimp launch pt2 redux

So what about grabbing the tools that do tell you what a program does, and try to investigate? The problem won't solve itself, and especially not without the effort of someone who is affected by it...

I'm not a developer for GIMP but which tools for OS X would you recommend for spotting thread hogs?

It's been a long time since I developed anything on OSX, but have a look here: http://developer.apple.com/tools/performance/

XCode (and friends) used to be free - I'm not sure if that is still the case...
