Changing the default values

Hi,

where can I change the Gimp's default values for filters, etc.? I am using Gimp 2.4.7. under Ubuntu 8.10.

TIA,

After looking through all of the Gimp's directories, such as /usr/share/gimp, /etc/gimp, or $HOME/.gimp-2.4, I wonder if this is possible at all without modifying the source code.

It isn't. See http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=63610
