Modifying text color

Hi,

I'm new to GIMP. I created a simple text. Now i want to change the color of the text. How can I do that?

Just drag a color from any "color swatch" and drop it on the text layer's thumbnail preview in the Layers Dialog. "Swatches" are the little rectangles of color which appear in various dialog boxes throughout GIMP (such as described in http://docs.gimp.org/en/gimp-dialogs-content.html#gimp-color-dialog). You can drag-n-drop from any of them (the FG/BG colors in the main Toolbox are an obvious choice).
