FYI
I just filed the following bug report (#485637) regarding gimp 2.4 rc3 with the gtk-dfb folks:

After successfully building gtk-dfb, I ran gtk-demo and it worked fine. When running gimp I get the following error messages:

(gimp:1370): Gdk-DirectFB-WARNING **: gdk_window_set_keep_above() not implemented.
(gimp:1370): Gdk-DirectFB-WARNING **: gdk_window_set_keep_above() not implemented.
