Gimp quick brush editor idea.

Hello everyone it's me aging from the one with the kickstarted idea. I hope you guys are still considering it :) a protect recently reached.

I am a painter and a big fan of gimp. However there is a feature I would like to give you for your consideration that would be a complete time-saver for us artists/painters and would make working on gimp easier. Right now it is a bit complicated to quickly change the size and opacity of our brushes. While I am aware of the shortcuts I think it can be even better.

There is a feature that many painting programs have and that would be ideal for it as well.

Basically having the ability to change the brush size (left and right) and opacity (up and down)

Thank you for your consideration

Here it is a photo bucket pic if the attachment doesn't workhttp://s276.photobucket.com/user/heroicmasterchief/media/GimpBrushEditorpng_zps37aef908.png.html

by moving the mouse/stylus up and down while you are pressing a button combination at the same time.

Hi,

that looks like an interesting idea. Could you please make a feature request on our tracker? Upload the image there too. It helps to understand what you mean.

Gimp quick brush editor idea.

Hi,

your idea sounds interesting. Do you know our [GIMP UI brainstorm]? Some ideas to that issue are already there but yours would surely be a good addition. So feel free to post it (the procedure is described there) and I hope, our interaction architect Peter Sikking will find it useful and share it there.

Kind regards,

Sven

Gimp quick brush editor idea.

This is something similar I've been working on, but I'm not sure how to implement the live preview in Gimp.

I've found that when working with a stylus the circular motion is easier to control than moving linearly left and right. It also keeps you near the spot your working on even when making large changes to the size.

Gimp quick brush editor idea.

Thank you Daniel, as a painter I am very exited for it :) Already sent my request on the board. I wasn't sure it was the correct place as it seemed more of a place for bug reporting. Still very exited about gimp 2.10 keep the awesome work everyone!
