Updating a plug in

I am not sure if this is where I would ask but I found a plug in that I am having issues with (I think it's a 32 bit file for GIMP 2.4 and I using GIMP 2.8 on a 64 bit) and I want to know if it would be possible for someone to maybe update it so it would work?
