Brush from Clipboard: Imperfections with some dynamics

In this example:
http://nsae01.casimages.net/img/2013/07/01/130701034929273527.png

I used the brush from clipboard that you can see in the image, and Paintbrush tool with brush "Spacing=1". The imperfections that can be seen are the blue lines on the red strip, and the red lines on the blue strip. The problem occurs with Dynamics Off and some other dynamics. I am using GIMP 2.8.6 on Kubuntu Linux.

Occurs in win32 builds too.

I'm experimenting with it now and I notice that if the clipboard brush is all one solid color then the behavior fails to happen - it has to do with brushes containing multiple colors.

More interestingly, if the clipboard brush includes transparent pixels around its edge then the strange behavior does not happen. It's like when GIMP needs to do alpha-blending around the edge of a clipboard brush, it interpolates using edge pixels from both sides ("wraparound") instead of that side only ("stretch").

Either way it definitely looks like a bug to report.
