Dear GIMP Team,

I'm writing to request permission to reprint three screenshots from the GIMP application in an upcoming commercial publication. If this is something you are open to, please let me know so I may send you an official request form and contract. You are entitled to charge a fee for any permission granted.

The material will be reprinted in a college level textbook called BASICS OF WEB DESIGN and will include electronic, disability, and custom formats.

Hi Nicole,

No special permission is required. Please just do it :)

One thing you could do for us, however, is to doublecheck with the editor and/or the proofreader that GIMP is consistently mentioned as "GIMP" or "GNU Image Manipulator" in the book. Incorrectly writing it as "The GIMP" is quite common.
