Hi Ricardo,

the translation progress for Brazilian Portuguese ranges from 50% (libgimp) to 100% (tags; with 2 translatable strings), so there is plenty of work left. See http://l10n.gnome.org/module/gimp/ for details of the progress per translation domain within GIMP.

The coordinator and active members of the Brazilian Portuguese translation team are listed at http://l10n.gnome.org/teams/pt_BR/

Thanks in advance for your effort, and please don't hesitate to ask for clarification of any unknown or ambiguous English terms you may encounter - we'll be happy to explain the concepts if necessary.

Regards, Michael

Have a look at the documentation, there is only 1% translated: http://l10n.gnome.org/languages/pt_BR/gnome-gimp/doc/

Hi Ricardo -

I am the translation maintainer to pt_BR, and I should update 2.7 translation over the coming weeks - I keep no translation of the documentation however (gimp-manual)

If someone there want to help, we can just arrange to split the task as well.

Looking at http://l10n.gnome.org/languages/pt/gnome-gimp/ui/ and bug #667282 I see that the Portugese translation needs help, too. Maybe Portugese and Brazilian Portugese are similar enough to unite your forces with the Portugese translation team to a mutual benefit?

One pt_BR trasnaltion is in place, we could get the pt.po files filled in with the pt_BR strings where it
is untranslated, and then all it takes is a native speaker to fix some of the differnt words and expressions - the text structure does not change much, and it is easier to eit from one to the other Portuguese variant than translating again.

(I had done it in the past the other way around)
