what is the purpose of gimp-tiny-fu ?

I like to know what is the purpose of the gimp-tiny-fu code, in order to continue or to abandon its translation.

Is this an obsolete module for GIMP (now integrated as script-fu), or is this something with bright future that waits to be used ?
