Hi - as a new user can someone tell me please where to go to download a pdf version of the gimp manual for the latest 2.6 version? Thanks

Currently -- nowhere. docs.gimp.org is temporarily not available.

HTML and PDF are on the same server. When one is not available, the other isn't available either.

There are only Win installers for help system (HTML really) at http://sourceforge.net/projects/gimp-win/files/

to the back of the page you can find the "en" and "it" pdf versions. Updated quite often.
