A question from dock section of gimp help 2

Hello, all.

In this page, http://docs.gimp.org/2.6/en/gimp-concepts-docks.html

==== Every dockable dialog has two types of docking areas: the docking bars and the docking-tab area. In a dock, the docking-tab area covers the entire window.
====

I can't understand the meaning of "In a dock, the docking-tab area covers the entire window." phrase.
Would you explaing for me, please?

Have a look at Fig-3.5 in the manual and see if that helps

Glad to see somebody using the User Manual to learn GIMP. Indeed picture 3.5 shows the docking-tab area but unlike the dock-bars in 3.6 it is not really highlighted. One might wish somebody does that some time.

Hi, Owen, André, and all.
Actually I don't use gimp help for learing GIMP. During translating this documents, I've been learing many things. :D

For translating I'd like to know what it means exactly. :) BTW, does it mean when I drag a dockable window to anywhere in a dock, it docks as a tab. Right?

You are right, this phrase is not clear. It is true only when the dock under the toolbox is empty. In the example, take booth dialogs off. Then you can dock a dialog everywhere in the empty area.
