yes thats the one.That would prevent gimp from legal trouble and it will give its users a quick access to an important material databank sharing.. But until now im not sure that gimp devs will go with it,because no GTK application has ever had getnewstuff feature.Kde was first there.Maybe krita will have something like that if they ever manage to get it to a functional release..

one is just enough.It just needs to be reliable.If you connect gimp with a server,people are going to start using the server to host and share materials.
