Allow picking center for rotation?

Allow picking center for rotation?

The Layer>Transform>Arbitrary Rotation function allows you to enter coordinates for a center of rotation, but it would be very handy to be able to pick a point with the mouse. I would like to submit a feature request in Bugzilla to this effect. Any comments/objections?

Why not use rotation tool then? you can specify the center visually there....

The Layer>Transform>Arbitrary Rotation function is the Rotate tool. No idea what that question is about, as the centre of rotation can already be moved with the mouse pointer...

Allow picking center for rotation?

To be perfectly honest, I had never discovered that the center point could be dragged around. I see now that on mouse-over a tiny "move pointer" is added to the pointer, but that is the only indication. I see that the Help file also mentions this feature.
