Last month I translate the Gimp man page in french for my studies. I'm posting it, if you have a few minutes can you read it and tell me what you think about it, if it's correct or if there is some correction to make .

Juste quelques remarques :
s?lection bezier : s'agissant d'un ing?nieur fran?ais, s?lection de B?zier. plug-ins : dans GIMP, nous utilisons le terme "greffons" Gimp has several scripting extension : je pense qu'il faut comprendre "GIMP a plusieurs types de script (les scripts ?tant consid?r?s comme des extensions).
Dans les variables d'environnement, "S'il n'est pas d?fini" devrait ?tre, s'agissant de la variable, "Si elle n'est pas d?finie".

I am still waiting for some correction on my translation. If you think that it's good you can say it to! I was wondering if it's correct, it can be include in the package or the next release of The Gimp or not ??

Hi,

Your translation is good if you apply the few remarks I sent you. IMO, the man page doesn't belong to GIMP-help. I think it depends on GNOME. www.traduc.org/gnomefr/ can help you.

Please, Roman, answer if you know how to manage the man page.

Hm... a translated man page which can't be accessed by the user is pretty much useless. Do you have any possible use for this? We could put it as HTML on docs.gimp.org if that helps...

This man page is the page you get when starting "man gimp" under console. It is in english.
Probably it exists to be complete, since every software has his man page. Sure, its interest is very poor.

Hm... a translated man page which can't be accessed by the user is pretty much useless. Do you have any possible use for this? We could put it as HTML on docs.gimp.org if that helps...
