multithread?

Hi all,

I tried making different operations and filters, and I always see but one of my
4 processors running under gimp, the setting in the preferences is set to 4. This both on Win x64 and linux x64.
processor: intel Q6600

Has anyone an idea on this??

I presume you have checked that your gimprc has been set and shows

(num-processors 4)

Otherwise I am clueless

No, gimps filters currently take more or less no advantage of multi core processors... however the program itself is running better than on single core (as probably all applications ;))
