Some days ago the final tarball of GIMP 2.5.2 appeared online on the GIMP ftp server. The tarball is another intermediate step to the soon awaited stable version of GIMP: 2.6. You can download the tarball directly via our downloads section.

2.5.2 will be one of the last versions before GIMP 2.6.

If you want to try the developement build please make sure that you take a look at the backported WebKit package (for Ubuntu 8.04) that GIMP uses for its new and cool built-in online help browser. Sven Neumann posted the backports on his blog!

Download the current tarball on our downloads page.
